Baru chairs meeting in Kabir Colony

BJP State Secretary Sanjay Baru, while chairing a meeting of prominent activists of ward No. 40, Kabir Colony, falling in Talab Tillo mandal of BJP in Jammu West assembly constituency, stressed that each one of them should devote time to educate the people about centrally-sponsored scheme named “PM Ujwala Yojana” (PMUY) in particular and extend help to them in availing the benefits of the same.
The meeting, which was convened by Ward Convenor Dr. Pardeep Gupta, discussed the scheme in details and also expressed gratitude to the local MLA for his keen interest in matters related to developmental activities in the ward.
Sanjay Baru, while speaking on various developmental activities being undertaken in Kabir Colony during the last two months, said that on the intervention of the MLA, four new transformers have been installed for the convenience of the people with an objective of ensuring regular supply. He said that rupees 12 lakh has been made available by the MLA for various developmental workers in W.No. 40. He said that a mega project of widening of Kamla Palace road with the funds to the tune of rupees two crores has been got sanctioned with the continuous efforts of the MLA and work on the same is going to be started within a week.
Baru said that the PM Ujwala Yojana has been launched for the benefit of poor women, wherein they are provided free gas connections. For this purpose, the families registered under BPL category as per the 2011 census are to be approached and ensure that there is no hindrance is getting gas connection under the scheme. He said that for the convenience, the lists related to PMUY are available with the party and can be utilized for making easy contact to the BPL families. He also asked for identifying the false entries in the BPL lists and convey the same to the concerned authorities.
