BJP cautions people not to take hard-earned freedom for granted – Rekha Mahajan

Under Party’s special program ‘Azadi 70 – Jara Yaad Karo Qurbani’ to celebrate 70th anniversary of Independence Day The BJP Mahila Morcha District unit organised a programme at Purani mandi jammu.Large number of people including ladies ,children participated in the programme During this occassion they chanted patriotic songs,perform cultural programmes and remembred freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the Independence of India .Baldev Billowria District President Jammu was also present on the occasion
Speaking on the occasion BJP District Jammu President, Baldev Billawaria said that this independence did not come in one day. Many had sacrifice their lives with a smile on their face feeling themselves as proud Indian who were giving their lives for the sake of the freedom of their motherland. We should celebrate this festival by memorizing those tough moments that our former generation faced and by giving tribute to them and organizing cultural programmes and make this festival colorful and remarkable, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Mahajan said there have been millions of lives that sacrificed for this freedom and many of them are not even known or remembered. BJP in order to pay rich tributes to all those who sacrificed their every bit to see India a free country has started special program ‘Azadi 70 – Jara Yaad Karo Qurbani’ to celebrate 70th anniversary of Independence Day.This is a day to remember the sacrifice of lives of the great freedom fighters and patriots who never cared about their family, their need, and their lives. To them freedom of their motherland was only aim and instigation. They used to see only one dream that is of the freedom of their nation, a united nation where everyone will stay in the bondage of brotherhood, she added.
Cautioning the people not to take the hard-earned freedom for granted, she urged citizens to preserve the freedom and always remain prepared to fight for retaining sovereignty. She said people should not forget that a large number of people fought for decades and shed their blood to achieve Independence. Referring to the growing disruptive and anti-national activities in different parts of the country, she said such activities had made the freedom vulnerable and one should remain ready to protect it. Stressing the need for sensitizing children, Mrs Mahajan said the younger generation should be taken to places like Jallianwallah Bagh, the jails of Andaman and Nicobar and August Kranti Maidan which bore the testimony to Independence movement.Programme was organised by Savita Anand. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Geetanjali Mahajan, Saroj ji, Sharda Ji, Reva Massom, Kiran Aggarwal, Surinder Kour, Roopali, Ranju besides others.
