BJP celebrates Atal’s birthday as Good Governance Day

The 92nd  birthday of Bharat Ratna & former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee was celebrated across the state as Good Governance Day. The State Office Bearers, Senior Leaders, Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, District and Morcha Presidents chaired colorful programmes at district and constituency levels.

BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, alongwith State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi and others leaders, lighted 92 earthen lamps and spoke on the life of Atal Behari Vajpayee.

Sat Sharma, while addressing a large gathering of party activists of Jammu West District at Eden Garden, said that the party is celebrating the birthday of Atalji as Good Governance Day (Sushasan Divas) as it is firm belief in the country that it was the six years rule of the then PM Atal Behari Vajpayee when  the people of India had the experience of what the governance in real sense means and the same is now being delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The mission of providing a people friendly, corruption free government, as initiated by Vajpayee is further accelerated by the present government at the centre. He asked the party activists to pray for the healthy and long life of Atal Behari Vajpayee. He said that the decision on demonetization has been widely applauded but the leaders of Congress and other parties cannot digest the move to bring out black money, which is highly unfortunate.

Ashok Kaul said that from Atal Behari Vajpayee to Narendra Modi, the BJP governments have followed the principle of “Antodya” with the sole motive of reaching last man in the row and wipe out his tears. This is the philosophy of BJP which makes it different from other political parties. He also rubbished the misleading campaign launched by opposition parties on the issue of financial assistance to DPs from PoJK and issuing residence certificates to refugees from West Pakistan.
