BJP files complaint with SHRC for actions of Police Brutality

State Incharge of BJP Cells Sat Sharma (CA) today filed a complaint with the Chairman of State Human Rights Commission with regard to the case of a seventeen year old Neeraj Kumar from Kalsian Bhawani, Tehsil Nowhsera who was mercilessly beaten up by the Local Police few days back. Neeraj has now been shifted to GMC Jammu for further treatment.

 

In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma (CA) said that the complaint regarding the case has been filed with the State Human Rights Commission and we will see to it that the seventeen year old and his family gets fair justice. Sharma also said that the methodology adopted by the Police to investigate a minor is totally cruel and such methods show the barbaric nature of the Cops who were involved in this heinous act. Sharma also stated that while on his political tour to Sunderbani and Nowshera he also visited District Hospital Nowshera where the young boy was admitted and after looking at his condition he decided to file the case with the State Human Rights Commission so that the rights of the minor who has been mercilessly assaulted by the Police could be protected. Lambasting the Administration, the Senior BJP leader also said that the public relies on Police for its safety and if such is the behavior of Police with Public then it will become difficult for a Common Man to rely on Police in future.  In the Complaint filed, the Senior BJP leader has demanded for the Dismissal of the Cops who were involved in the barbaric act and a suitable monetary compensation has also been demanded for the family of Neeraj Kumar.

 

Besides the father and other members of the family, the leader was also accompanied by State BJP Convenor of Hospitality and Protocol Cell Sanjay Khanna and BJP Mandal President Gandhi Nagar Tarsem Choudhary.
