‘Party leaders highlights Modi- led govt’s achievement in the country’

To mark the completion of two years of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre, the party has organized an event at Nageen- Hazratbal, Srinagar, which was headed by state president Sat Sharma (CA) and attended by hundreds of party workers.
Union minister for minority affairs, Dr Najma Haptullah, Minister of State for AYUSH and Family Welfare, Shripad Yesso Naik, and National General Secretary Arun Singh attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that there are visible signs of development on the ground after BJP ruled the country. “The situation is completely different today. We have a prime minister who is strong, decisive and always available to the masses. He has a professional work style and has invigorated a new work culture in the government,” he said, adding, he routinely conducts review meetings with ministers, top bureaucrats, and interacts with officials across the country via video conferences. He talks to people through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, his monthly programme on radio.
Sharma added that BJP also used these opportunities to launch massive campaigns such as the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and has been successful in evoking a sense of patriotism in the youth. Whether it is an earthquake in Nepal, or Indians stranded in Yemen, floods in Kashmir, or a fire in a Kerala temple, the Modi government has always reached out to the people with relief and rescue measures.
Dr Najma Haptullah, speaking to the workers said that BJP has taken much needed initiatives by launching a national campaign for saving the girl child and educating her- Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.
“Women’s welfare and development will be accorded a high priority at all levels within the government, and BJP is committed to 33% reservation in parliamentary and state assemblies through a constitutional amendment,” She said.
She added, Education: Public spending on education to be raised to 6% of GDP. NDA’s flagship programme ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ to remove illiteracy. “Dozens of people friendly schemes were introduced to benefit the common masses in the country,” she said.
Shripad Yesso Naik also said that BJP government has taken many measures to introduce many schemes in the health sector. National AYUSH Mission was introduced to connect more and more hospital and dispensaries to provide quality health care to the general public. “This service has not only helped patients, but help people to grow medicine plants,” he said.
He added that BJP’s immediate task was to rein in inflation by several steps, such as put in place strict measures and special courts to stop hoarding black marketing, setting up price stabilisation fund.
BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh also spoke on the occasion said BJP believe in harmonious Centre-state relations. “BJP has ensured cordial Centre-State relations. Our government will be an enabler and facilitator in the rapid progress of states,” he said.
He said BJP has introduced High Speed Train network (bullet train), strategic rail networks to connect to Kashmir and ensure high priority to the growth of manufacturing to create enough jobs.
The speakers said that BJP government has the biggest achievement to curb widespread corruption in the system. “Since it took over in May 2014, the government has not faced a single corruption charge. At the same time, it has brought in one of the toughest legislation in the world to deal with the black money menace,” they said.
They further said that Modi has a vision to make strong foreign policy. “Modi has personal equations with heads of state of all major countries and has established a good rapport with all nations, big or small. He has visited countries where significant numbers of the Indian diaspora reside, and has invited them to invest in their motherland,” they said.
