BJP Mahila Morcha organizes competitions under “Azadi 70 – Jara Yaad Karo Qurbani”

Under “Azadi 70 – Jara Yaad Karo Qurbani” Party’s mega programme to remember and pay rich tributes to all those who sacrificed their everything to make India free on this year Independence Day, the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha today organized various competitions as a part of a fortnight’s celebration of the 70th anniversary of independence. On this occasion, Speaker Kavinder Gupta was the Chief Guest and the programme was organized by BJP Mahila Morcha District Jammu President, Mrs Rekha Mahajan.

Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that the campaign is aimed at developing a feeling in every person that nation is first and individual is secondary,” he said.“It will provide an opportunity for the people to recall the supreme sacrifices made by freedom fighters during freedom struggle,” he said. A week-long “Tiranga Yatra” to evoke nationalism and patriotism will also be undertaken from August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day, he said. Members of parliament and state legislatures have been asked to take part in the Yatra carrying the Tricolour and visit their constituencies. BJP workers would undertake several programs like tricolour march, candle march, patriotic cultural programs etc, he added. Adding further he said that the move to promote peace and social harmony is significant because India is the only country in the world where people with different faiths, languages, religion live together with peace and tranquility and under the present scenario there is an urgent need to consolidate this culture to defeat nefarious designs of vested interests hell bent to disturb communal harmony in the state. We urge all communities and parties to also come forward to take part in this programme, Gupta added.

Speaking on the occasion, Rekha Mahajan said that Independence Day is most important day for every Indian and it becomes our moral responsibly to remember all those from the interior of heart who sacrificed their lives to get independence for us. She appealed all to celebrate the Independence Day like a festival and exchange national flags like we exchange sweets and gifts on other festivals. She also appealed all to play their role in ensuring peace and prosperity of this great nation. Later prizes were distributed among the participants of different competitions by Chief Guest, Kavinder Gupta.

The prominent among those who were present on the occasion include District General secretary Vinay Gupta, District Vice President Pappu Choudhary,Mandal President Ankush Gupta, Mahila Morcha Secretary Pooja chouhan,Mandal President Mahila Morcha Rekha Chohan and her team Kiran Aggarwal District Secretary besides others .Savita Anand District General Secretary conducted the programme.
