BJP pays homage to Pt. Premnath Dogra

On the occasion of Punya Tithi/ death anniversary of Late Pt. Premnath Dogra, State BJP organized a programme at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, to pay homage to the great Dogra leader.
BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria, MLC Ashok Khajuria, MLA & Chief Whip Rajesh Gupta, joined the party leaders and activists to lay wreaths at the protrait of Panditji and paid rich tributes.
Sat Sharma, on this occasion, said that Pt. Premnath Dogra was an institution in himself whose principles, ideology, concern for the Jammu and commitment for full integration of the state with the rest of the country coupled with his pain for the society earned him the distinction of being recognized as Sher-e-Duggar. The role of Panditji in “Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan” agitation and similar other demonstrations was splendid which made even the Kashmiri leaders to respect him as the great Dogra leader. “Today we should take pledge to keep agitating to fulfil the dream of Dograji for full integration of J&K with the country”, he appealed.
Ashok Kaul said that on this day in 1972, the country lost a great visionary and the torch bearer of nationalism in J&K, who shall always remain a source of inspiration for the generations to come. Pt. Premnath Dogra was a multi-facet leader, with no match. The passion to serve the society and raise voice against the discrimination with Jammu was on the top agenda of Panditji. He also spoke on various incidents related to the life of Pandit Premnath Dogra right from childhood to the college life and later as a prominent leader.
Rajesh Gupta said that Pt. Premnath Dogra was a down to earth leader who never compromised on patriotism and set new examples of selfless service to the nation and the society. He also described Panditji as a good sportsman who had great interest in football, athletics etc.
Ashok Khajuria said that Pt. Premnath Dogra was born at a time when the nationalist forces were feeling insecure and there was strong hold of the Kashmir based leaders and their ideologies. It was the time when Panditji worked on the sole agenda of defeating anti-Jammu and anti-national forces and focused on strengthening the bonds of relationship between the Union of India and J&K.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by State Secretary Sanjay Baru.
BJP State Vice-Presidents Bharat Bhushan and Yudhvir Sethi, senior leader Chander Mohan Sharma, State Treasurer Chander Mohan Gupta, State Spokespersons Prof. Virender Gupta and SS Bijral, Jammu West District President Ayodhya Gupta, Jammu District President Baldev Singh Billawaria, Vinay Gupta, Kissan Morcha State President Rajinder Singh Chib, Mahila Morcha State General Secretary Sanjita Dogra, Shailja Gupta, Ankush Gupta and other senior leaders also paid their tributes.
