Bharatiya Janata Party expressed it dismay that the National Conference has not given up playing politics with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. National Conference did not provide efficient governance and did precious little for development of the state. Instead it is responsible for creating militancy in the state. Has National Conference forgotten the political accord of 1975 between the centre and Sheikh Abdullah, and what it did since then when in power, asked Dr Narinder Singh state general secretary BJP. It neither provided bilji , sdak and pani nor created any positive narrative in the politics of the state. The BJP is trying its best for development of the state on all fronts and to restore normalcy in the strife torn Kashmir Valley. Dr Singh said that the BJP is committed to Agenda of Alliance for development and fighting gun wielding militants. He recalled that Ram Madhav general secretary BJP on his recent visit to Kashmir Valley hailed the “efforts” of the coalition partners –the BJP and the PDP—and the security forces in combating militancy and had requested opposition parties to cooperate without getting involved in the “political game of provocations” so that total normalcy is restored in the state. National Conference did not rise to the occasion but it is unfortunate that NC is continuing its negative narrative. Dr. Singh also questioned NC for not showing compassion when in power between 2008 and 2016 and doing nothing to eliminate gun wielding militancy, money laundering by separatist leaders. The separatists under the garb of azadi movement were amassing unaccounted wealth in the state , befooling people, and NC was a mute spectator of this loot and plunder . He said BJP is committed to restore complete normalcy so that the development of the will gather pace. He asked political parties not to play politics with militancy but join the vision of the Prime Mister in making J&K a developed state.
