BJP’s Asif Iqbal Masoudi greets people on Batamaloo Sahib Urs

‘Appeals concern officers to make sufficient arrangements for the Urs’

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and district vice president Srinagar Asif Iqbal Masoudi greeted people on the annual Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Dawood (RA) popularly known as Batamaloo Sahib (RA), scheduled to commence from April 25.
Masoudi along with senior leaders including constituency president reviewed the arrangements being made for the Urs to ensure smooth visit of devotees thronging to different areas of Kashmir for the 10-day-long Urs.
He appealed officers from PDD, PHE, R & B, Health, Police, Traffic, CA&PD, SMC, Fire and Emergency Services besides representatives of Auqaf Jamia Ziyarat Hazrat Sheikh Dawood (RA) to make sufficient arrangements for the Urs.
“I appeal concerned officers to ensure availability of essentials especially LPG, Ration, Sugar and K-Oil to the people of the area besides providing necessary facilities to the devotees during the Urs days,” Masoudi said, adding, PHE department to ensure adequate water supply and the PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the area during the Urs days.
Masoudi also asked the officers of R&B department to carry out necessary repairs of the roads leading to the shrine and repairing damaged potholes in the area.
He also appealed Traffic police to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the area for the convenience of the devotees in the area.
