Cattle-shed Collapsed, 1 dead and 3 injured at Miran Sahib

On Tuesday morning, at about 05:50 a.m due to heavy rains a cattleshed at Railway line Taali Morh Miran Sahib in the R.S Pura Constituency collapsed in which one female died and three people were injured including two females and one male.The deceased were identified as Balwant Kour aged 45 years wife of S.Jagjeet Singh resident of Railway Line Malikpur, and the injured identified as Jaswinder Kour aged 17 years daughter of S.Ashok Singh and resident of Railway line Malikpur,Inderjeet Kour aged 40 years wife of S.Rashpaul Singh and resident of Malikpur Basti Talli Morh,S.Ashok Singh aged 52 years son of S.Inder Singh and resident of Railway line Malikpur,Talli Morh R.S Pura.A cow was also injured in the collapse,which was the lone source of income for the poor family in which both the hind limbs of the cow was fractured. MLA R.S Pura Dr.Gagan Bhagat along with several workers and prominent persons of the locality rushed to the spot tried to help the victims , he also directed the administration to render every possible aid to the family of deceased and injured, he instructed D.C Jammu Simrandeep Singh to provide free treatment to the injured through the Indian Red Cross Society. He visited the house of the deceased Balwant Kour who went early in the morning to that cattleshed which was owned by S.Ashok Singh to get the milk for the family as she was doing for the past several years, but as was written in the destiny daughter of S.Ashok Singh namely Jaswinder Kour who was milking the cow was severely injured as both her legs were fractured, and her father also received minor injuries ,the wall of the cattleshed fell on Balwant Kour and Inderjeet Kour who were standing near the cattleshed came under the wall in which Balwant Kour was killed, and latter was being operated at a hospital as she received multiple fractures.Dr.Gagan Bhagat assured the families of the deceased and the injured that he is with them in this difficult time and will provide every possible help.He later on directed B.D.O Miran Sahib to provide house under Pradhanmantri Aawas Yojna (P.A.Y) to the family of S.Ashok Singh.He addressed the gathering there and said that he has informed Dr.Nirmal Singh Dy.C.M Jammu & Kashmir about the tragedy at Miran Sahib R.S Pura ,who has assured every possible help through the Govt. to the families and his sincere condolences to the families of the victims. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Jammu was called by Dr.Gagan Bhagat on the spot to provide treatment to the injured cow,he also gave strict instructions to the veterinary staff for providing regular medicines and check up for the injured cow.The locals met with M.L.A R.S Pura and communicated him some local issues which were lingering on since past several years ,he gave a patient hearing to them and said that as the Panchyati Raj has came to end last month and the elections to these institutions seems difficult due to the prevailing conditions at Srinagar, but till the elections are not held he will try to do those things which the Ex-Sarpanches and Ex-Panches failed to do.Later on he directed the local Sub-Divisional Administration to visit every village of R.S Pura Constituency and identify vulnerable houses and other dwelling and gathering places of public importance so that such a tragedy does not take place in the near future.Mandal Pradhan R.S Pura Natharam, Ramesh Lal, Vinod Sharma, Hardev Singh,Gurdeep Singh, Bishan Dass,Tehsildaar R.S Pura, SHO Miran Sahib,Inder Sudan, Manmohan Choudhary,and other accompanied the M.L.A R.S Pura on his visit.
