Chander Mohan Sharma, demanded naming of proposed express highway from Delhi via Amritsar to Jammu as Dr. Mukerjee Express Highway

Senior Leader BJP & State Convenor Namami-Gange Project Chander Mohan Sharma, demanded naming of proposed express highway from Delhi via Amritsar to Jammu as Dr. Mukerjee Express Highway, in the pious memory of great martyr Dr Shyama Prasad Mukerjee.
Paying rich tributes to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukerjee in a gathering of Namami-Gange and Tawi Andolan Activists at Parade Jammu Chander Mohan Sharma said that its only the sacrifice of Dr Mukerjee which brought democracy and secularism in J&K State. With his sacrifice draconian law of permit system for entering and going out of the state was withdrawn. The people of the state got access to the Supreme Court of India, Parliament and other democratic and judicial fora, only due to the historical agitation of Praja Parishad led by Pt. Prem Nath Dogra in 1953. He reminded the sacrifices of the people of Jammu which resulted into total integration of the state. The dictatorial rule of Sheikh Abdullah came to an end with his arrest under subversive laws.
Dr. Mukerjee has opposed creation of Art. 370 of the Constitution of India inside the parliament and outside all over the country. He described this Article as barrier to the progress of People of the state. Sharma while discussing the prevalent situation in valley as direct outcome of Article of 370 of the Indian Constitution. He said that this article has benefitted to none but only promoted separatism, terrorism and violence in the state. He condemned those who are raising the bogey of Autonomy and freedom. They are real culprit of unrest in the state. He indicated that there is deep rooted conspiracy to derail the economy of the state. That’s why the miscreants chose Tourist Season for flayering up the violence. Sharma appealed to the people of the state particularly of Kashmir Valley to shun the violence and help the administration to restore normalcy so that Shri Amar Nath Yatra takes place peacefully and the people of the valley benefit from the tourist season
