Check the flow of hawala money: BJP

J&K BJP spokes person, Prof. Virender Gupta expressed his serious concern on the reported news on flow of huge hawala money from the gulf countries in Jammu and Kashmir State as a result a large number of new mosques and seminaries have come up, with a purpose to radicalize the Kashmiri Muslim youth. He added that the youth are brainwashed, trained as militant and become part of the separatists, militants and anti-India forces. Prof Virender said that the frequent happenings of fluttering of ISIS and Pakistan flags with raising anti-India and pro-Pak slogans and also pelting stones on the forces engaged in fighting the terrorists indicate the gravity of the situation emerging in the Valley. He asked the government both at the state as well Centre level to take serious note the situation and strongly act against the anti-India forces to boost the morale of the security forces who are fighting for national cause and for the restoration of peace in the Valley. He further added that such activities has damaged the pluralistic ethos of Valley and reduced it as composed of mono-religious society, with the migration of Kashmiri Pandits and other minority communities. He cautioned the Government and the Kashmiri Muslim society that if strong will is not exhibited and hard steps are not taken at this juncture, the Kashmir shall meet disaster and it shall lose its identity.
Prof. Virender expressed his surprise that government and police force deliberately ignored the conduct of about 30 friendly cricket matches between 12 teams, extended over a period of two to three months, in different parts of the valley sponsored and arranged by the separatist groups and consequently, a prize distribution function in the name of the separatists killed was held under the chairmanship of a father of a hard-core terrorist. He added that this was a great negligence on the part of the government as the cricket matches were used as instruments in motivating the youth to bring them under the banner of separatists. Prof. Virender said that it is irony that on one hand the police used brute force against the non-local students studying in NIT Srinagar, raising pro-India slogans while carrying national flag, and beat them mercilessly, whereas, on other hand, it allowed the anti-national event to happen and skipped the venue of the event deliberately.
