Civil Society and Government Should Work Togather to Ensure the Desired Results :Vibodh

 “Visits Various Areas Within Ward No. 8 Rajouri to Take Stock of Developmental Works”
A delegation of senior BJP leaders led by MLC Vibodh Gupta today visited various parts of ward no. 8 formally ward no. 10 of Rajouri town. During this visit MLC accompanied by EO and other officials of Rajouri Muncipality interacted with the residents of the ward and sought their assistance in making Rajouri city a model city of Jammu & Kashmir. He also took stock of various lanes and drains and directed the concerned departments for early completion of various works allotted to them. Addressing a gathering of citizens Vibodh informed that Rs. 15 lakh has been allocated for various works in ward no. 8 which will go a long way in face-lifting of the ward and at the same time will also boost various cleanliness initiatives launched to make Rajouri a clean and green city. Vibodh Gupta appreciated the visionary approach of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi for launching Swatch Bharat Abhiyan. He said that this campaign over the past two years has transformed the common man’s thinking about cleanliness. He further added that the way the citizens of this country are becoming part of this cleanliness mission the day is not far off when we will soon see a clean India. He further added that without the active participation of civil society specially the citizens no Government initiative can see the light of the day. Once Government and Citizens own a initiative and start working together then even any impossible work can be made possible. Same is true as far as cleaning our cities in concerned and cities can be cleaned only through responsible behavior of citizen and active participation by concerned Government departments, Gupta stressed.
Rajinder Gupta, Ex-Chairman Municipality was also present on the occasion and while addressing the gathering he said that local youth need to get organized in such a noble cause of cleaning our own city. He called upon the residents of ward to actively get involved to ensure that garbage is not thrown in the open walking lanes. Senior BJP leader Bashir Bhat thanked MLC Vibodh Gupta for visiting the ward. He said this for him is a historic day as after so many years any legislator started development work of Rs.15 lakh in this ward and is taking a such a keen interest in every small developmental initiative. He said that these small small initiatives through the hard work of MLC Vibodh Gupta will very soon add up to big results and this will certainly transform Rajouri city into a model city. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included Rajinder Gupta, Atam Gupta, Kamal Bakshi and Mohd Iqbal.
