Doda is a land of brave people: Sat

BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), in his presidential address to the State Working Committee Meeting, said that the erstwhile Doda District has given number of great nationalist leaders, who worked throughout their lives for the cause of nation in the state and even sacrificed their lives.
Sat Sharma said this after the inauguration of two days State Working Committee meeting alongwith BJP National Vice-President Avinash Rai Khanna, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, MLC Ashok Khajuria and MLA’s Shakti Parihar and Dalip Singh Parihar at Doda town.
Sat Sharma said that the BJP feels pride that its former State President Daya Krishan Kotwal agitated from his young ago in this region and worked to unite the people to defeat anti-national, anti-social communal forces. Be it Ruchir Kumar, Swami Raj Kattal, Satish Bhandari, each one of them got martyrdom for the cause of nation.
“We are meeting after three months and during this period BJP has scaled new heights”, Sat said and added that the day in not for when BJP will become the sole political party which has its own government in all the states of the country.
Avinash Rai Khanna, on this occasion, said that the “Vijaya Rath” of BJP has reached to a place, which the opposition parties had never thought of. It is happening so due to the programmes and policies of PM Narendra Modi government. BJp has 1700 MLAs and government in 17 states. The passage of GST Bill and approval for setting up of OBC Commission have made people realize the need to back Narendra Modi.
Dr. Nirmal Singh spoke on the achievements of State government. He mentioned ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao’, Scooty Scheme for female students, establishment of women police stations, Ujjawala, LED Projects, reforms in power sector, parking lots in different areas of Jammu, providing sports infrastructure and developing Jammu hub of tourism. He asked the party activists to devote more time to the BJP so that it gets absolute majority to form its own government.
The meeting observed two minutes silence for the peace of departed souls of the party activists and their family members. The condolence message was read by State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, State General Secretary Harinder Gupta read the minutes of the last meeting, BJYM State President Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra recited national song.
