Farooq and Omar are playing politics of secessionism : Prof. Virender

J&K BJP spokesperson, Prof. Virender Gupts strongly condemned the statements issued by the leaders of National Conference, in particular the father and son duo, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah on some recent issues such as NIT, shelter house for labourers, Sainik Colony in Valley and now on NEET, to settle political score with Mehbooba Mufti and the present PDP- BJP alliance government. He said that their statements were intended to percolate anti-India feelings among the Kashmiri Muslims and encourage separatists and anti- India forces in the Valley and expressed his anguish that the National Conference once again adopted the policy of alienating the Kashmiri Muslims from the national mainstream, thus putting the Valley in turmoil and derails it from the path of development.
Prof. Virender said that the proposal of having Sainik Colony in Valley was taken in a meeting in March 2012, held under the chairmanship of State Governor which was duly attended by Omar Abdullah. He further said that the proposed Sainik Colony was to be developed at par with other colonies like police personals colony, employees’ colony and the similar Sainik colony do exist in Jammu city which is meant for the army men holding state subject. He questioned “then how does it is going to effect the so called special privileges enjoyed by the state under article 370, what was the need to raise hue and cry, particularly when Omar himself was party to the decision”.
Prof. Virender expressed that the opposition to National Eligibility Entrance Examination for the students of Jammu and Kashmir, by the duo is completely illogical and baseless and added that the students of the Jammu and Kashmir state are appearing in CAT/ MAT examinations to earn eligibility for MBA courses within the state and outside the state, the NET examinations is being conducted under HRD ministry for earning to eligibility to apply for the post of Asstt. Professor and for pursuing Research in state universities and state colleges. He further stated that our students also appear in the GATE examination to earn eligibility to get admission for M.Tech courses. Prof. Virender said that he hoped that both Abdullas know the new departments and staff positions and the new projects in the universities/colleges are sanctioned and funded by the UGC/CSIR and other central agencies. He narrated that the degrees given by the universities and medical colleges of the state are recognized through India, provided these institutions get recognition from the UGC, Medical Council of India or other centre agencies. Prof. Virender asked “Do Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have guts to ask for abolition of all these tests for Jammu and Kashmir Students and ask the Government of India to stop funding the universities, colleges and other institutions of the state?”
Prof. Virender appealed to the two Abdullas to stop playing ugly and anti-national politics which is neither good for Kashmiri Muslims nor for them. He further appealed to allow and in fact work for the peace to prevail in the state so that the state moves fast in the path of development and people of the state enjoy a life of prosperity and brotherhood.
