Ganga inaugurates CSR initiatives

The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash inaugurated various ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ works undertaken by United Phosphorous Limited at Vijaypur and Ramgarh. The Minister inaugurated toilet complexes built by UPL at Govt Higher Secondary Schools Vijaypur and Ramgarh. The complex built for the cost of 3.5 lacs comprises of two units each for boys and girls.The Govt Higher Secondary schools Vijaypur, Jakh and Ramgarh have also been adopted by the I&C Minister.
The Minister directed company officials from UPL and Sarswati Agrochemical Limited to provide 400 benches at GHSS Vijaypur under CSR.The Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Jakh, which has been adopted by UPL will be equipped with Smart classes, 200 benches and improved playfield and assembly ground. The Minister also directed school authorities at Ramgarh to formulate proposals for school ground face-lifting and additional playground. He expressed satisfaction with facilities like smart classes, music classes ,labs available at the school and informed that student strength at Ramgarh School has increased to 650 from 400 in the past and appreciated the school staff.He said that regular efforts are being made to improve infrastructure and staff strength in the schools and focus is on ensuring that students can get quality education so that the they can compete at the national level.
The Minister was accompanied by DDC Samba, Sheetal Nanda, SDM Vijaypur Ravinder Sharma, CEO Samba O.P Bhagat, Xen PWD K.S Nathyal, Tehsildar Ramgarh Jai Kumar Sharma, Principal GHSS Ramgarh J S Manhas, Director UPL Alvin Moses and other officials.
