Giving further boost to various developmental activities BJP leader & MLC Vibodh Gupta today inaugurated a road at Keri Dungi in Rajouri. This road has been constructed with a estimated cost of Rs. 5 Lakh and the funds for this have been provided under MANREGA. Speaking on the occasion MLC Vibodh Gupta said that this is the first time during last one decade that the impact of the centrally sponsored schemes like MANREGA is visible on the ground. He criticized the past congress Government and said that due to the negative approach of the past Government and due to corruption such schemes could never flourish in the past. He further added that border areas remained the worst suffers during the past as past Governments never heard their pleas and always cornered the hard working people of the border belt. He congratulated the local people present on the occasion for this new road and said that such developmental initiatives will go a long way in mitigating the sufferings of the poor and needy people of the border belts. He said that he along with the BJP ground workers are working in a missionary mode to ensure that the benefits of the various Government run schemes reach to the last poor of the border areas. He further added that at present when whole world is moving at a fast pace, we also need to move on similar lines. On this occasion he also spoke about various other schemes of the Government and said that transparency and honesty is must to reap maximum benefits from these schemes.
On this occasion MLC Vibodh Gupta appreciated the visionary steps taken by the rural development minister Abdul Haq Khan and said that under his able leadership the rural development department will transform the plight of the people of border areas. The programme was attended by a impressive gathering of local people. During the inauguration MLC Vibodh was accompanied by Sarpanches and Panches of the area and the officers of the rural development department. The prominent persons who were present on the occasion included Kamal Bakshi, Sanjay Sharma, Pashori Sharma and Gulshan Sharma. Latter the local people thanked MLC for his regular visits to their area and for all his efforts towards various developmental programmes in their villages.
