India will emerge as Vishwa Guru under PM: Nirmal Singh

Former Deputy Chief Minister and State BJP Legislative Party leader Dr. Nirmal Singh has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a short span of about one and a half years has taken the country to a new height of development, progress and a destination for world for investment. This will lead to emergence of India as a world power (Vishwa Guru) in a short span of time.
Addressing a function to celebrate Republic Day at Mother Teresa convent Higher Secondary School, Dramni, here, chief guest Dr. Nirmal Singh paid tributes to the martyrs of freedom movement and those who sacrificed their lives for upholding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. He paid tributes to the architects of the Indian constitution led by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Lashing heavily at the opponents of Narendra Modi, Dr. Nirmal Singh said that he has given top priority to National Security, development, employment and ensuring world role for Indian nation. He said that Prime Minister fast tracked the acquisition of modern technology in the field of national defence and making India best destination for investment by the foreign countries. He said that during his short stint a corruption free regime has been put in place and major pacts have been signed with the foreign countries to provide defence forces the best equipment which have put on hold for last more than three decades by the successive UPA regimes.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that BJP government in the state in its ten months stint in the state got sanctioned IIT, IIM, AIIMS, Indian institute of Mass Communication for underdeveloped and neglected Jammu region without any public agitation which no government in the state got during 66 years of misrule by successive Congress-NC rule. He said that either it was SKUAST-J, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, districts or other developmental demands of Jammu region, people of Jammu had to struggle and launch major agitations but it was during BJP-PDP government, the developmental initiatives like Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Express Highway, 110 feet wide Raya-Suchani-Central University road, Raya-Nagrota Highway, Jakh-Suchetgarh-Mishriwala-Nagrota Highway, Dayala Chak-Challa Highway have been sanctioned and preliminary work has been initiated.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that BJP-PDP government announced major tourism development initiatives including making Jammu region independent tourism destination. He said that our government fulfilled the commitment of Narendra Modi of ‘Sabka Saath aur Sabka Vikas’ and good governance and it was for the first time in the 66 years old history of the state of Jammu and Kashmir that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were treated at par and corruption free governance was provided.
“Not even a single case of corruption by the Ministers/MLAs of the coalition government was reported, Dr. Nirmal Singh said adding that during its short span in power, Government fast tracked the development projects and work on Multi-tier parking costing Rs. 26 Crore at Panjtirthi, Rs. 201 Crore at general Bus Stand, Jammu, City Chowk, Jammu, Development of Suryaputri Tawi river on the pattern of Sabarmati river, Tawi Lake project were inaugurated and work has started on these projects. For the welfare of poor and common masses Rs. 250 Crore Power bills amnesty scheme was launched which came as a common relief. He said that National Food Security Act, Fasal Bima Yojana, Start up yojana for entrepreneur development, Digital India, LPG/Kerosene subsidy to the bank accounts, Atal Pension Yojana, Ladli Beti Yojana etc. are some of the major achievements of the BJP led NDA government. he asked the people to take benefit of the pro-poor schemes launched by the central government.
