Jammu to be developed into a smart city: Yudhvir Sethi

Assuring people of time bound redressal of genuine demands, Vice-President BJP Yudhvir Sethi today said that the coalition government is working to address development aspirations of the people and all out efforts are afoot to provide modern infrastructure in the winter capital city.
He said that the historic town of Jammu would be taken up under the central government Smart city project and most modern urban infrastructure would be put in place for the city inhabitants.
“We have seen that the coalition partners are working to revive the projects which were important for the overall development of the city and no stone would be left unturned to change the city into a modern city,” he stressed.
Yudhvir said this while addressing a gathering of people of Ward No 1, here. He toured the old city areas and listened to the demands put forth by the people.
While visiting the Panjtirthi area, the locals demanded for establishing and proper maintenance of rotary and creation of a view point for the senior citizens of the locality. The people also demanded widening of the road and construction of a park in front of the Chintpurani Mata Ji Mandir.
Local people also projected demand for maintenance of park, Crate wall, Danga and equipment of gym in the area.
Giving patient hearing to the people, Yudhvir said that the genuine demands would be projected to the concerned heads of the departments and assured time bound redressal of the demands.
He said that the capital city is being developed on modern lines and central government has assured liberal funding for developing the city into a independent tourist destination.
