J&K Football Association is going to organise a tournament for Jammu Distt.where 45 matches are going to be played between various teams.
The first match of the tournament was played between The Real Jammu vs Climrate team.MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta was the chief guest on the ocassion.
The prominent who participated in the inaugural function included former MLC Sardar Kuldeep Singh,Distt.President JKFAS Sardar Surinder Singh,Vice President David Masih and members Varinder Gupta,
Ramesh Chander, Yusuf Don, Rajesh Sundria,Rakesh Khanna,Narinder Gupta,Moon Stephen and Bharat Bushan.
The noted former senior footballer Harbans Lal and organising Secretary Mohan Lal graced the ocassion.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the ocassion said that Jammu & Kashmir have traditionally been football enthusiasts and our state has produced many good football players over the years.Govt has laid a lot of stress on the development of sports and we must encourage our youth to take to sports as a carrier.
Rajesh Gupta said that we will develop the necessary infrastructure needed for the development of a sports culture in the state.We would provide the necessary incentives to the budding talents and also there are seats reserved for meritorious sportsmen in professional institutions.
Rajesh Gupta also met all the participants taking part in the first match of the tournament and encouraged them to perform to their potential.
