Kaul while interacting with party people- including state office bears, district presidents and senior workers asked them to intensify party activities, organize door to door visits and listen to the grievances of people. In this regard, a special drive from the party would be organized from 15th February to 5th March to listen to the grievances of people and aware the general public about the scores of centrally sponsored schemes and the benefits garnered from them. During the drive, importance of participating in the Panchayati elections by participating in electoral process and its benefits would be taught to the general public. “Panchayat election is the core of democracy and it has proved beneficial for general public as people directly get the chance to choose their leader at Panchayat level, who can mitigate their problems,” Kaul said. Kaul also received the feedback from the party workers about the present situation arisen due to massive snowfall in the Valley and promised to raise the same with the state government and party ministers. “Give me the feedback about the day to day issues faced by people in your respective areas, so that the issues can be raised with the government for its redressal,” he said. On the occasion, the party workers also observed two- minute silence on the 69th death anniversary of father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi and those sacrificed their lives for the country –including the soldiers and civilians buried alive under recent snowfall in Kashmir.
