Kaul chairs meeting of BJP ST Morcha

In a meeting of BJP State ST Morcha held at BJP Headquarter, Jammu. State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul in presence of Jeevan Lal MLA, State President ST Morcha Dr. Tahir Chowdhary and Incharge All Morcha Munish Sharma, said that STs constitute a large percentage of the population of Jammu and Kashmir and the party is well aware of their genuine problems, which need to be mitigated at the earliest.
Ashok Kaul, while interacting with State Body ST Morcha Members, asked them to reach the members of their community in all the three regions of the state, particularly the remote and far-flung areas where the community has thick population. He said that the objectives of constituting ST Morcha in BJP is to provide a plateform to the community in the party so that they can sit together and work towards educating them about the various welfare schemes launched by the government, which need to be availed by the poor and needy among them. He stressed upon the state leaders of the morcha to farm the communities at district and block levels so that the members of the community have easy access to BJP in their respective areas in close vicinity.
Dr. Tahir Chowdhary, on this occasion, briefed the general secretary about the progress made so far in the framing of the district teams and said that the morcha is getting over whelming response from the STs as the members of this neglected and discriminated section of the society has realised that each one of them is convinced that their welfare lies in standing with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also discussed the general problems of the STs in the state and expressed hope that the BJP coalition government in J&K will also come forward to think of the STs.
Morcha Parbhari Munish Sharma said that BJP is committed to develop the Tribal community in the state and we should further work for upliftment of Tribals.
The meeting was attended by Haji Ayoub Betab, Ch. Haroon terwa, Beena Devi, Ch. Mushtaq Inqbali, Ch. Manzoor Gorsi, Ab. Rehman Thakri, Ch. Azeem Bojar, Ch. Israil Gojar, basher Khatana and Showkat Chowdhary.
