Speaker J&K Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta being accorded warm welcome by party workers on his arrival from Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference from London here today.
Gupta is the first person from the state of J&K to achieve such a milestone by being elected as regional representative to head Indian region for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).
Congratulating Gupta, BJP, State President and MLA, Jammu West, Sat Sharma said, “It is really a very proud moment for all of us that he brought laurels to the state of J&K and such milestones will prove to be as a trendsetter for many of us”.
While welcoming him, MLA, Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia said, “It is not the first time that Kavinder Gupta achieved such thing in his life; he has been the mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation for three consecutive terms by setting a world record and was honored for the same by the government of France for his achievement.
Terming this as the utmost faith and blessings of his family, people of the state and his colleagues on him that he is able to climb the ladder of success, Gupta said, “In whatever capacity I serve the public I will not leave any stone unturned for the development of the people of state in particular and the country in general”.
“As the modern era is termed as the era of competition, more we meet challenges the more it helps us in invoking the real spirit of competition within us which in turn expands our knowledge base and all of us should take this thing as positive in our life as it will definitely help us in the long run, Gupta said.
While expressing his gratitude to the workers, he said that the real challenge for all of us is to increase the happiness index of the people of the state by reaching the grass root level for the real implementation of the welfare schemes launched by the central as well as state government.
