Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta reiterated Government’s commitment of enhancing educational parameters at all levels with focus on upgrading infrastructural edifice besides ensuring quality education in Government schools. The Speaker said this during his visit to Government Middle School, Gorkha Nagar. The Speaker, while inspecting the school building, assured the school administration that the funds for repair and renovation of classrooms would be provided as soon as possible. “It will be ensured that the students get all facilities including midday meals, clean drinking water, toilets, play grounds and power supply in schools,” he added. The Government is working relentlessly to provide every facility in schools so that the education standards are further improved for larger interest of students community. The Speaker exhorted upon the Head Master to organize competitions, debates and other co-curricular activities on regular basis in the school for overall development of the students. The Speaker appealed the students and teachers to maintain sanitation in the school premises. He also inaugurated nursery classroom besides, planting a sapling in the premises of the school. He also distributed school uniforms among students. Later, Speaker laid foundation stone of Community Toilet at JDA Park near Railway Station which is being constructed by the Akhil Bhartiya Paryavaran Evam Gramin Vikas Sansthan.
