Khanna chairs meeting of district office bearers

BJP National Vice President & Jammu and Kashmir Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, on first day of his four day visit to the state, chaired a joint meeting of Jammu West and Jammu district today. The meeting was also attended by State General Secretary Harinder Gupta and State Secretary Sanjay Baru.
Avinash Rai Khanna, who reached Jammu in the evening after chairing similar meeting at Kathua, was introduced to the new office bearers of both the districts.
During the meeting Khanna was briefed about the recently carried out programmes under Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday campaign in these districts by respective district presidents Ayodhaya Gupta and Baldev Singh Billawaria at District, mandal and booth level. The achievements of Narendra Modi led NDA government and the previous ten month coalition government in the state were highlighted during these programmes to convey message at the grass root level that the BJP was not only fully committed to its ideology and programmes but was also doing everything to achieve the same.
While speaking in the meeting, Khanna said that the party activists have to fan out in every nook and corner with an objective of informing and enlightening the people about various welfare schemes launched by PM Modi exclusively for women, youth, senior citizens, border people, farmers, weaker and disadvantaged sections etc. He said that a lot has been done during the last two years by Narendra Modi which reflects commitment of his government as well as that of BJP to ensure progress and prosperity of the people in the entire country and in every region without any discrimination.
Khanna also discussed the ways and means to further strengthen the party machinery adding that ours is the largest political party in the world and the people across the country have high hopes from us. He said that the party activists have to act as bridge between the government and the people so that the problems of the masses are attended to and their grievances get addressed to their satisfactions. He also added that bringing ignored, neglected and down trodden segments of the society to the forefront in the social firmament of the country should be ensured so that they become equal partners in the progress of the entire country.
