KHANNA WELCOMES NEW ENTRANTS INTO BJP

Driven by the desire to serve the people of the state and the country after having rendered illustrious service in army, Maj. General Shamsher Singh (Retd.) joined BJP today at party headquarters. He was welcomed into the party-fold by MP & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, State General Secretaries Ashok Kaul and Kavinder Gupta. In the same programme, Savita Bakshi (Retd.) Special Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages also joined the party.

Congratulating the new entrants in the party, Avinash Rai Khanna said that BJP being committed for social change and economic prosperity shall be the appropriate vehicle for them to serve the people and the country. He added that the entire country is in great ferment on account of Modiji’s becoming Prime Minister and having aroused great hopes among the people.

Jugal Kishore Sharma congratulated the new entrants for having taken up this path of service to the people and the country and expressed hope that these people will further strengthen the party in their respective fields.

Maj. General (Retd.) Shamsher Singh, while appropriately reciprocating the sentiments of Khanna, said that after donning army uniform he has served the country throughout his life and is driven by the same goal and patriotic zeal and the party shall find him upto task in any assignment.

Savita Bakshi, on this occasion, said that politics has been in her family and she had inter-alia been in NCC also which had induced in her discipline and patriotism. She felt that one must do something and achieve in life which would make posterity proud.  She assured the party leadership to work wholeheartedly to mobilize public opinion in favour of BJP, particularly among the women folk.

Farooq Khan, Rajiv Jasrotia, Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, Lalit Moza (Adv.), Anil Gupta, S.S. Bijral, Yudhvir Sethi, Sunil Sethi, Chander Mohan Gupta, Balbir Ram Rattan, Aseem Gupta, Naresh Dogra, Subash Gupta, Vijay Choudhary, Bhanu Pratap Jasrotia and others were present on the occasion.
