Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), Government of India has nominated Colonel Uttam Singh as Member on the National Railway Users’, Consultative Council (NRUCC).

Col. Uttam Singh, BJP State Working Committee Member and former BJP State Vice-President, has served gloriously in the Indian Army and J&K State Police on various important positions, thus possessing vast administrative and managerial experience. In view of his extraordinary performance and experiences, he has been nominated on the National Railway Users’ Consultative Council (NRUCC) by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India for a term of two years from 17-04-2017 to 16-04-2019.

It is pertinent to mention here that the function of NRUCC is to secure better representation of railway users and to afford frequent opportunities for consultation between Railway Administration and users for the purpose of improvement of efficiency and quality of railway services, thus mitigating he problems faced by the travellers.

It was conveyed just recently to Colonel Uttam Singh vide order number 2016/TG-I/25/NRUCC/8 dated 04.05.2017 for taking the charge of this responsibility, so that he can serve the society and the nation well with his newly allotted position.

Colonel Singh has expressed his happiness for the opportunity provided to him to serve the cause of common public and declared that he will leave no stone unturned to improve the facilities of the railways and the coordination between the users and the authorities. He also thanked the Ministry of Railways, Government of India for entrusting him with the job.

BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma also congratulated Colonel Singh for this new assignment and said that Colonel Singh is a great social worker. He also expressed hope that the Colonel will work with more zeal and dedication in his new office.
