Modi government is concerned for J&K: BJP

BJP State Spokesperson Arun Kumar Gupta, while addressing media persons alongwith State Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, said that the Narendra Modi led NDA government at the Centre has been showering one gift after the other to Jammu & Kashmir and it displays PM’s concern for the development and welfare of the people of this border state.

Arun Kumar Gupta said that during past few months, the Central government enhanced emoluments of SPOs to rupees 6000 per month, then it announced “Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana” and now two more gifts have been given to J&K.
The BJP Spokesperson said that setting up of five battalions of IRP and grant of a deemed-to-be-university to the ‘Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS)’, Leh, are two important decisions of the NDA government. He said that the party is of the view that new battalions will provide employment opportunities to more than 5000 youth and the major beneficiaries will be the border areas. He further said that besides recruitment of unemployed youth in these IRP battalions, the security scenario will also further get strengthened.
Arun Kumar Gupta further said that the BJP had been demanding the status of Deemed University to CIBS, Leh. He said that the CIBS after being upgraded to the said level, will prove to be beneficial for the students of entire desert region of Ladakh. He said that the party expresses its gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani for acceding to the long pending genuine demand of the people of Ladakh.
