On the 3rd anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission, Bharatiya Yog Sansthan (Paanji) J&K organised programme at Jammu.

Swachh Bharat Divas and Yoga day was celebrated at prestigious building of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan at Gol Gujral Jammu. The function was Presided over by Sat Sharma MLA (Jammu West). Dr Jitendra Singh Minister Of State –PMO was the Chief Guest and local MP Jugal Kishore Sharma was the guest of honour on the occasion. Thousands of Yog Sadhaks from different part Jammu took part in Yog Sadhna. Satya Paul Sharma Pradhan Bharatiya Yog Sansthan Jammu informed that 116 yoga kinder as are functioning in Jammu where yoga is practiced daily. He informed that yoga contributes to healthy development and good mental health. help to improve attention, self esteem, empowerment and self regulation. Yoga lowers stress, boosts confidence, lowers risk of injury, helps to lose weight, increase flexibility, improve muscle strength stabilizes blood pressure, improves posture and many more befits. He also informed that yogic therapies like Neti, Kunjal, Basti, Kapalbhati, Shankh Prakhalan etc are also performed in the Ashram.

In order to meet the requirement of toilets in the ashram a toilet complex was inaugurated on the occasion by Dr Jitendra Singh Minister of State PMO in presence of BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma, Jugal Kishore Sharma MP, Vikram Randhawa MLC. This toilet complex is being constructed under constituency Development fund being provided by Sat Sharma Jammu West.

Dr Jitendra Singh informed that Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India has been successful in convincing the world that Yoga which originated from India is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice and Yoga is being practiced today throughout the world. He appreciated the efforts of the Bharatiya Yog Sansthan for carrying out this noble cause in the country.

Sat Sharma appreciated the role of Bharatiya Yog sansthan for the noble cause of spreading the Yoga knowledge among the masses free of cost. He stressed that Yog Sansthan should take its activities to other parts of the state as well.

Jugal Kishore Sharma and Vikram Randhwa also spoke on the occasion. Among others Prof Ashok Aima Vice Chancellor CUJ, Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandhari Divisional Commissioner Jammu were also present on the occasion.
