BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta accompanied by senior party leaders and officers of various departments today visited various areas of Rajouri town and took stock of the ongoing developmental works. On this occasion Vibodh also addressed gatherings of locals in these areas. In his address Vibodh mentioned that at present developmental works worth 150 crores are being implemented in Rajouri. Such a fast pace of developmental works in Rajouri shows the seriousness with the state and central Government is giving to the beautification and overall development of Rajouri. He said that at present work is simultaneously going on the bridges, new road stretches and for developing parking slots at various prominent locations in Rajouri. Once completed all these works will make Rajouri a model town of our state as these are being implemented under a special master plan. On this occasion, Vibodh also sought the cooperation of locals in the proper implementation of these developmental projects and called upon every citizen to become an equal partner in this massive developmental drive. While reacting to the past neglect of the earlier Governments, Vibodh said that during the past earlier Governments have always neglected the Pir Panjal region in general and Rajouri Town in particular. He also thanked Hon’ble Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti for her keen interest in the development of Rajouri town and for her specific directions for completion of various works within a set time frame. Appreciating the peace-loving people of Pir Panjal Vibodh said that peace is a prerequisite for implementing such a massive developmental drive in the area. He also called upon the youth in Kashmir to focus on their studies and be part of the Hon'ble PM's mission in making J&K most developed state of our country.
Senior party leader and BJP district president Mr. Dinesh Sharma also addressed the gathering and expressed his party’s resolve to restore the historic glory of the Rajouri. He stressed on the fact that Rajouri is a historic town and all historic places in the area specially the historic buildings need to be developed and promoted at key tourism sites of the state. This he said will open up massive employment opportunities for the educated unemployed youth. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included Atam Gupta, Abdul Hussain, Daljeet Singh, Vikram Singh, Mohd. Sharief, Javeed Ahmed, Kousahl Kumar, Mohd. Deputation of prominent persons under the banner of “Tehsil Pouni Development Forum” in the leadership of BJP State Secretary & local leader, Sanjay Baru met Health Minister of Jammu Kashmir, Bali Bhagat to apprise him of the Health Services related issues of the area.
The deputation asked the Health Minister to raise the Health infrastructure in Tehsil Pouni. They apprised the Health Minister of the very scanty availability of emergency health services in the area. The deputation said that the area caters to the needs of about 80,000 souls. Also in addition to the local population, the area boasts of providing the services to the thousands of pilgrims visiting the famous shrine of “Shiv Khori”. They apprised the Health Minister that there is no major hospital nearby and the ailing and the ill have to move distances for availing simpler surgical purposes. As such they requested the Health Minister to recommend for the upgradation of existing Primary Health Centre in the area.
Sanjay Baru also thanked Health Minister for his prompt action on the matter of providing availability of 2 Doctors in the area. Shortly few days before, the deputation from the area approached Health Minister for the same. Sanjay Baru said that the locals had requested Health Minister for the provision of 2 doctors in the area including one Gynaecologist for the female population of the area, to which Minister acted swiftly.
Bali Bhagat assured the deputation, that the matter will be taken due care in swift and prompt manner. He immediately issued instructions to look into the matter and asked them to prepare the DPR for the same. He said that their every issue related to Health or any matter will not remain unattended.

J&K BJP State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria responded to the allegation hurled by Panther Party’s leader as a desperate try to build air castles as it loses ground among the masses. Harsh Dev had earlier mocked BJP for holding “Maha Rally” at this particular time.
Pawan Khajuria stated that by forming the alliance government after last Assembly elections in the state, BJP respected the people’s mandate entrusted in the party by voting enmass in the favour of BJP. He said that BJP feels itself to be answerable to the people of the state and especially to those who have voted for the better future of the state.
Khajuria pointed out that unlike the previous governments where one hand wasn’t ever aware of the action being taken out by other hand and what to talk of the general masses, BJP government stands committed to complete transparency in all the things. This is the reason BJP decided to take its works among the masses on the completion of 3 years of alliance government in the state.
Speaking on the “Maha Rally”, Khajuria said that the motive of the rally was to bring to the notice of general public, of all the development works being undertaken by the BJP’s government since the formation of the government in the state. He stressed that the massive turnout in the rally is itself a testimony to the faith, the people of the region have developed in their own party.
Khajuria said that the leaders of the opposition have nothing concrete to counter BJP on ground. He said that opposition is contributing nothing, as far as the development of the region or the state is concerned. He said that this is the reason they (opposition) are trying to play with fire while flaring out the emotional outbreaks and playing with the people’s sentiments.
Khajuria also advised the opposition leaders to do constructive politics and put forth the role of effective opposition for the betterment of state and the region. He further asked the opposition leader to concentrate energy on the positive approach to the people’s issues.
BJP State Spokesperson Prof. Virender Gupta expressed his anguish on the large scale grabbing of government land including that of Forest, that under the control of custodian department, JDA and other state authorities by the people with vested interests and those with special motives to change the demography of Jammu region. “Number of such cases of land grabbing can be witnessed in Bathindi, Sunjwan, Sidhra, Kotwal area etc. in the vicinity of Jammu city and in and around other towns of Jammu province,” he said. He told that in most of the cases the influential people and the musclemen are behind such acts. The Spokesperson quoted the news item appeared in one of the daily newspaper, published from Jammu wherein a Minister is involved in the attempt of grabbing two kanal of prime land worth crores of rupees by musclemen and some of the government authorities, at Bahu Herbal Eco-Park, Mohamaya Forests located on the main Sidhra bypass National Highway. He said with the intervention of Division Forest Officer, Jammu Urban and some of the other officers of Forest Department, the attempt to grab the land was stopped.
Prof. Virender said in the Bantalab and Kotwal area falling under the Marh constituency lot of Custodian land in the possession of allottees or falling vacant is being sold to the people with vested interests. The government land in Bathindi, Sunjwan, Sidhra, Majalta, Chawadi and in some other areas around Jammu city have been occupied or being occupied by the land mafia with the connivance of the authorities. He added that such act of land grabbing with Jammu people remaining mute spectators going to turn Jammu city vulnerable to the anti-national forces. He said that the situation poses great challenge to the security and integrity not only of Jammu province, but whole of Jammu and Kashmir state and should be a cause of great concern for the Govt. of India.
A one day Convention of the BJP State Minority Morcha J&K led by Mohd. Sadiq was held at party headquarter which was chaired by the National President BJP Minority Morcha Ab. Rasheed Ansari. BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma was the Guest of Honour. The meeting was also graced with the presence of National Vice-President BJP Minority Morcha S. Akram, BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, Vice-Chairperson SC, ST, BC Development Corporation Ltd. Balbir Ram Rattan and other senior party leaders.
Meeting started with the lighting of traditional lamp and welcome of the dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Ab. Rasheed Ansari deliberated on the achievements and policies of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government especially focussed on the development and the rights of Minorities. He gave important organizational tips to the Minority Morcha activists and prompted them to strengthen the party in the State. He further said that the welfare schemes launched by the party must reach the targeted population who have started on the path of true development and progress in NDA regime.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the Morcha activists, encouraged the party’s Morcha activists to mobilize the basic cadre of the party at booth level to strengthen the party at the grass root level. He asked the Morcha leaders to work with focus on the 2019 general election. He further congratulated the party on the marvellous victory in the North-East by smashing the bastion of the Congress and leftists.
Ashok Kaul threw light on the organizational working of the party specially focussing on the need to strengthen the Morcha. He said that the party is making inroads in all the remotest areas of Jammu- Kashmir irrespective of the region or the community. He also gave the stress on “Victory formula of 44 seats in J&K” for the next elections and role of Morcha activists in achieving the target.
Balbir Ram Rattan expounded in detail the schemes of Central government which are beneficial to the SC, ST, OBC and Minority community members. He prompted Morcha members to take these schemes to the targeted population.
Mohd. Sadiq in his Presidential address threw light on the various activities taken up by the State Minority Morcha for the welfare of the minorities in the state as well as for the extension of party activities in every difficult area of the region.
Two minute silence was also observed in the memory of departed soul Mohd. Sharief Malik State Secretary Minority Morcha.

Avinash Rai Khanna, while addressing the rally, said that the BJP has ensured the implementation of every scheme started by the Narendra Modi led NDA government at the very ground level. He said that BJP has worked to see that every single scheme reaches the targeted population. He also prompted the BJP’s Ministers in the state to double their efforts in serving the people of this state and ensure that public again gives them a decisive mandate. He said that the opposition has turned issueless and hence playing with the public sentiments, but today’s public is well aware of ground facts. Earlier, during the rule of non-BJP parties, only members of one family were aware about the funds being provided by the Union government, but now there is total transparency and every citizen has the information about what is being sanctioned for the state.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, in his address, said that the Narendra Modi government has given specific stress on the development of state of Jammu & Kashmir. He termed it as his fortune to get a chance to serve as his Minister. He talked about various major projects like Devika Project, Chattrakala tunnel, increased road links, especially work on road to Himachal. He said that the Centre has given special focus on the J&K.
Sat Sharma in his Presidential address said that the BJP and PDP honoured the mandate given to both the parties in the last assembly elections. He said that the alliance is based on the development agenda for J&K. He mentioned about the Jambu Zoo, Cable Car Project, Circular road and other achievements of the BJP’s alliance government.
Jugal Kishore Sharma embarked upon the various landmark achievements. He discussed about the mega project of Jammu-Poonch National Highway. He also touched the upgradation of Jammu Railway Station with three new platforms. He said that modification of Jammu Airport is underway along with sanctioning of new Airport of the Jammu region.
Shamsher Singh Manhas focussed on the organizational matters and lauded the role of BJP activists in the building of a strong party. He emphasized that BJP’s strong organizational fabric has ensured the end to the long standing discrimination with the Jammu region. He also talked about the multiplied and enhanced defence budget especially focussing on J&K.
Other Ministers also spoke on the achievements of their respective departments and the landmark achievements for the region and the state.

Meanwhile BJP also released a book named “Jammu-Kashmir Sarkar Ke Teen Saal Bemisaal” on the achievements by the BJP’s Ministers, MLAs, MLCs etc. on the occasion. The book especially focuses on the various landmark achievements by the BJP’s alliance government during last three years.
Besides party activists from different areas and the general public, the rally was also attended by State Office Bearers, MLCs, MLAs, Morcha Presidents, Cell Convenors and other party functionaries.
