Kashmiriyat, Insaniyat, Jamhooriyat incomplete without Bhartiyat: Dr Jitendra

Coining a new word Bhartiyat, the Union Minister of State in PMO with independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh today said that Kashmiriyat, Jamhooriyat and Insaniyat are incomplete unless Bhartiyat is added to it. Addressing a function in connection with celebration of 20th Foundation Day of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra at Anandnagar Bohri near here, on the occasion of Sharda Ashtami, Dr Jitendra Singh said Kashmiriyat, Jamhooriyat and Insaniyat is incomplete without Bhartiyat, which has wider and larger connotation and acceptability. “We should take pride to be Indians and also feel proud of that J&K is an integral part of India’’. “Those who are talking of Pakistan have no right to be in J&K’’, he added. Dr Singh said there is no dispute over Kashmir as not only J&K but PoK is also integral part of India, which is under forcible occupation of Pakistan. He said the nation is committed to liberation of that portion as per unanimous Parliament resolution of 1994. He asked the people that they should not be defensive over this issue and say loudly in every debate that J&K is integral part of India. The Union Minister said that opposition parties and Government are also on the same page on this issue as they also have made it clear that there will be no compromise on unity and integrity of the country so far as Kashmir is concerned which is integral part of the nation. Dr Singh, while recalling the role of Kashmiri Pandits said that all the nationalist forces in the country have the same concern which the displaced Pandits have and added that the time has come that “we should not be confined to our own society as under prevailing circumstances our responsibilities have increased as we are facing many challenges’’. “It is the duty of all of us to save this nation from the forces inimical to it’’, he added. Dr Singh said more than half of portion of J&K is with Pakistan and the neighbouring country has gifted some portion of it to China. He said there should be no debate on J&K when the nation has already cleared its stand in Parliament resolution of 1994 to get back the portion lying with Pakistan. Maintaining that “we should have clarity in our thought’’, he said that no political party and even the APD has said that J&K is not the integral part of India. So what kind of dispute is there he asked?. Dr Singh without naming the opposition parties took a dig at those who demand resignation of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. These are defeated and disgruntled people who make these statements. He said the defeated people can’t digest to be out of power and instead of making a hue and cry by opposing BJP and PDP they should wait for next elections. These parties have no proposal regarding solution of the problem but they only have one agenda to oppose the government, he said. Ridiculing the statement of some leaders who termed the visit of the All Party Delegation (APD) a failure, he said those who could not meet APD make such allegations and added that APD met 45 delegations of the people in the State. He said separatists have no threat from India but from Pakistan and so they need to be given protection. As Moulvi Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone were also killed by Pakistan, he added. He said Pakistan which has become the epicentre of terrorism today faces threat from within. Highlighting the achievements of two year rule of Modi Government, he said no such developmental schemes for the State of J&K were sanctioned in 65 years which were sanctioned in last two years. In this regard he made a reference to two AIIMS for the State, IIT and IIM, Bio-tech park at Kathua, laying of foundation of Rs 160 crore Kiryan Gandyal bridge over river Ravi in Kathua, dedicating the Atal Sethu to the nation at Basholi, laying the foundation stone of Medical Colleges and proposal of two more Engineering Colleges for the State one at Kathua and another at Safapora Srinagar. He said the Chenani Nashri Tunnel which is the State of art project and proposed Corridor from Delhi to holy township of Katra is the other major project for the State. Dr Singh said there should be no place for violence and it will not be tolerated. “Moreover we are committed to get back PoK lying under forcible occupation of Pakistan and engage our youth in nation building’’. He said in entire youth country is cautious today and they are taking advantage of Modi Government’s policies and programmes “so we are duty bound to educate Kashmiri youth not to fall in the trap of those who have sent their children to lead the luxurious life outside and forced them on the path of violence’’. Dr Singh, while lambasting the opposition parties said that bogey of terrorism should not be used by them to settle scores with their opponents. Maintaining that Pakistan is epicentre of terrorism, Dr Singh said though the neighbouring country is in denial at present but sooner or later it has to accept this. Later talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function, Dr Singh asserted that Balochistan is a very important security concern for India and added that Pakistan should put an end to “operational atrocities” unleashed by Islamabad in the region. “Balochistan is a very important security concern for India”,he said. “You cannot allow your neighbourhood to be on fire because sooner or later it is going to impact you, you cannot build a heaven inside and leave a hell outside,” the he said. Dr Singh said “it is example of a boundary wall with another house and the other house being constantly in trouble and sooner or later you run a risk of being impacted by it’’. He asked Pakistan to put an end to operational atrocities and bring peace in the region. The Minister further said “therefore, it is also part of our responsibility to safeguard the security concerns of India”. “We have to ensure that Balochistan, as a situation, is peaceful, is normal and there is an end to operational atrocities unleashed by Islamabad,” Dr Singh said.
