Rupees 32 lacs development works inaugurated for Jammu East

Carrying forward the mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making India clean with his Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Department of Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks Priya Sethi inaugurated Sulabh Toilet Complexes at Chabeel Wali Gali, Kanak Mandi, Rani Park and Panjtirthi and also inaugurated four lanes at Panjtherthi,Jammu

MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta, BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi and BJP Distt Baldev Baloria were also present on the occasion.

Priya Sethi said that Sulabh Toilet Complexes at Chabeel Wali Gali, Kanak Mandi, Rani Park and Panjtirthi have been constructed at the cost of Rs. 18.0 lakhs and dedicated to public for their conveniences and also inaugurated four lanes at Panjthirthi ward no 1,costing Rs.13.50 lacs from her CD fund.

The move, she added is aimed at making Jammu and Kashmir State clean and free from open defecation.

“The government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people,” Priya Sethi said, adding that, with the construction of these Sulabh toilet complexes, the long pending demands of residents and shop owners of these area has been fulfilled and it will help in promoting cleanliness.

She lauded the visionary approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and urged upon the people to be part of the campaign.

She further said PM Modi has sought a broad vision of making this great nation clean and green and for fulfilling it becomes the responsibility of each and resident of the society to come forward and contribute in the noble cause.

Speaking on the occassion MLA Rajesh Gupta said that government is taking requsite steps to provide amenities to the people and sought public cooperation in promoting cleanliness.

Yudhvir Sethi is his address said that jammu is a clean a find green city and we need more such infrastructure to make it blink on national map of cleanest cities. Seeking cooperation of people in maintaining Jammu City as clean city, he said that coalition government was committed to put in every effort for the convenience of people and that’s the reason Sulabh Toilet Complexes are being constructed in various areas and simultaneously parking lots are coming up to ease city of traffic congestion.

Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) RS Jamwal, Joint Commissioner Works JMC Kushal Chand and other senior officers of concerned departments were present on the occasion.

The toilet complex has been constructed by Sulabh International Social Service Organization, Jammu.
