MLA Rajesh Gupta started the construction work of the toilet complex at near Press Club Jammu in ward no 19 at an estimated cost of rupees 11 lacks.The officials of the JMC who accompanied the MLA included AEE B.S.Pathania and JE Tangroo.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the ocassion said that the construction of toilets is very important for our country as there are many people who still have to go in for open daefication.This practice of open defication is not only against human dignity but also cotributes to the spread of disease and pollutes the atmosphere. Modi Ji in the very beginning of his govt launched the swach bharat abhiyan and it has become a national movement.We all have to contribute to this mission by whole. heartedly participating in it.
Rajesh Gupta also said that Jammu is a place of touristic significance and the base camp for Mata Vaishno Devi and Amarnath Yatra so it is our bounden duty to maintain the city in a neat and clean manner.
