Renowned authors donate books to Nanaji Deshmukh Library

Learned authors Prof. Vidya Bhushan and Ms. Santosh Sangra paid a visit to the Library and e-library in the premises of BJP State Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar and donated books to add to the knowledge bank in the presence of BJP state President & MLA Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul and Library Incharge Kulbhushan Mohtra.

Sat Sharma while acknowledging the noble gesture of both the authors, said that this Library came up as a vision of PM Narendra Modi and BJP National President Amit Shah to promote culture of reading for developing intellectual and ideological thoughts in activists and general public.

Sat Sharma said that Library is a platform to develop a flawless personality and having peace of mind for introspection. He said that the party is putting whole effort to develop this as a store house of biographies of all National Heroes, social, historical & current topics as well as matters of interest for visiting general public. We also boast of frequent visits of this Library by school children and general public to broaden and sharpen their mental skills. Through the medium of this Library BJP has taken an initiative in social building along with the organizational activities, he added.

Prof. Vidya Bhushan, while having a tour of the Library and e-Library, donated self-written books, old pamphlets and articles on the Constitution, political scenario as well as the history of J&K to the State President for inclusion in Library Treasure and said these books are compilation of his life experiences. He said that it is his good fortune to be a part of this library which is named on great thinker Nanaji Deshmukh and thanked Sat Sharma for opportunity.

Santosh Sangra, while elaborating about the books donated, said that these books are the compilation of Dogri short stories, which are mostly revolving around the plight and the role of women in home, society as well as the Nation building. She said that often, the role of women is underestimated by the contemporary writers, which is to be rectified for a greater future. She also thanked the party leaders for this chance of contribution.

Kulbhushan Mohtra said that the library is open from dawn to dusk for all who are eager to visit it. He said that we are documenting all the history related to the Jammu & Kashmir and also appealed to the civil society to come forward for taking the benefit of knowledge bank. He further said that this Library will serve as foundation block for many great visionaries.

Party leaders Sanjeev Sharma, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Ajay Baru, Naveen and others were also present on the occasion.
