Nirmala Sitharaman, Dushyant Gautam highlight achievement of Modi govt.

In continuation of party’s ongoing “Vikas Parv” programmes across the country, BJP organized a similar programme at Jammu, wherein Union Minister of Commerce & Industries Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP SC Morcha National President Dushyant Kumar Gautam, Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Manhas addressed the gathering to highlight the achievements of PM Narendra Modi led NDA government.
Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman, while addressing the gathering, said that the country witnessed total policy paralysis during UPA-II as there was no merit in taking decisions and the nation had to suffer. After taking over as PM, Narendra Modi brought the system on rails, introduced work culture and India entered into a new era. She said that although Modi was given mandate for five years but our government and the party has been going to public with report card of the NDA to brief the people about various programmes and welfare schemes being undertaken as well as fulfilling the promises of the election manifesto. She said that during previous government there was no check on infiltration but NDA brought it down, Modi’s efforts earned honour and pride for the country at International level and a corruption free dispensation has been provided.
Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Congress had launched MNREGA with a slogan of Gareebi Hatao but unfortunately it was misused and the poor people were exploited and Modi government wants the economic empowerment of the next generations of poor people. She said that the government at the Centre has fixed target of providing five crore of new gas connections to poor urban women within next two years. She also held the UPA government responsible for frauds and mismanagement of Public Distribution System (PDS) and claimed that Rs. 36,000 crores have been saved by deleting the fake cards by the NDA government. She also spoke in details on schemes like “Beti Bachao Beti Padao”, “Mudra Bank”, “PM Fasal Bima Yojana”, “Atal Pension Scheme”, etc. and added that the nation is heading towards ‘Congress Mukt Bharat’. The Union Minister, while claiming to check the price rise, said that the previous UPA-II was responsible for the same and expressed commitment of Modi government towards the displaced people including refugees. She said that the Modi government keeps check on the developmental projects right from planning to execution and it has resulted into a corruption free government at the Centre.
Referring to revival of sick units and promoting Industry in the state, she assured to take positive steps after going through the industrial policy of Jammu & Kashmir and said that the revival of economy in the state is our priority.
BJP SC Morcha National President Dushyant Kumar Gautam said that Modi government is the first such dispensation which is going to public with its report card. Organizing “Vikas Parv” on completion of two years is not just for publicity but we want to reach masses and educate them about various development schemes. We do not indulge in politics based on caste or religion but work on the principle of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. Today PM visits a foreign land and when he is accorded warm reception, it makes every India feel pride and it is the honour of the nation.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that today mega projects are in progress and an era of developments, which will not stop now. Narendra Modi government is working on economic upliftment of the poor and weaker sections besides taking various welfare schemes aimed at the welfare of women, youth, farmers, border people, senior citizens etc. Minister in Modi government are working as a team and the days of insecurity, uncertainty and corruption are gone now.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said that on the Call of PM, 1 crore 13 thousand people across the country has surrendered their subsidy on gas, which is itself a great achievement. He said that a glance at the situation in India during UPA-I and UPA-II will make everyone feel that the Congress was more concerned for the welfare of a handful of people rather than thinking of 125 crore citizens of the country.
