Sat briefs party functionaries about Bhubneshwar meet

BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma today held a meeting with party functionaries at the party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, after attending three days National Executive Meet of the party in Bhubneshwar. He apprised them about various important issues discussed pertaining the states, in particular those which are going to assembly elections in the near future and the organizational matters. The prevailing situation in Jammu & Kashmir was also discussed, he told.
The State President told that he briefed the National Executive about the various development works being initiated in the state and also reported the progress of Central sponsored schemes. In his brief to the National Executive, he threw light on the inauguration of 9.28 km long Chenani Nashri Tunnel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reported that after the inauguration of the tunnel, the rally held at Udhampur witnessed attendance of about 2 lakh people who had great enthusiasm. The atmosphere in the rally was greatly surcharged because of the presence of the Prime Minister.
Sat Sharma also threw light on the various features of the tunnel and said that it is the biggest tunnel in Asia with all modern infrastructure matching the international standards and in some cases surpassing the tunnels built in the advanced countries of the world. The tunnel has shortened the journey from Jammu to Srinagar by 30 km and reduces the journey time by 2 hours. He also apprised the gathering that about a half dozen tunnels are in pipeline that are to be constructed in Jammu & Kashmir to serve in all weathers.
Sat Sharma further said that as per the organizational practice, the National Executive Meet is held after every three months, which is followed by similar meeting at State level. “This time the State Executive Meeting of Jammu & Kashmir BJP is going to be held in Doda on April 22 & 23”, Sat said and added that the meeting of State Office Bearers and Morcha Presidents will be held on April 21 at Patnitop.
