Sat Sharma (CA) raised a starred question regarding identified source of funding of separatists for spreading terrorist activities

During the ongoing session of the Legislative Assembly, State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) raised a starred question regarding identified source of funding of separatists for spreading terrorist activities, the particulars of the separatist leaders found receving Hawala money and the arm recoveries from the Ultras in the State to which the Government replied that foreign funds in J&K are routed through various channels including Hawala and Foreign Indian Currency Network (FICN) and also gave detail of the cases registered, person arrested and recoveries made during the last three years . He also enquired about the cases pertaining to Narcotics and Drugs.
The State Government stated that recoveries to the tune of Rupees 91 lakhs have been made in the last three years from the cases related to Hawala and forged currency notes. A total of 2200 persons have been arrested in the cases related to Narcotics and Drugs in the last three years.
However, the State Government stated that no separatist leader has been found to be receiving foreign funding. The State Government also gave details of militants including foreign Ultras arrested in the last three years and the arms recovered from them.
Sharma also raised an unstarred question in the Assembly regarding the utilization of funds by each Member of Parliament from their CDF (Constituency Development Fund) during the period from 2009-2014 and also the amount of CDF utilized by each MLA/MLC during 2008-2014.
While answering to the question the State Government replied that all MP’s during the said period were unable to exhaust their CDF which includes Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah who could only spend an amount of Rupees 17 crores 46 lakhs from his CDF. The Government also replied that no MLA / MLC were able to exhaust their CDF which included Former CM Omar Abdullah and the Cabinet Ministers of the former State Government.
