Sat Sharma inaugurates Receiving Station at Shakti Nagar

BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma inaugurated work of Electric Receiving Station in Shakti Nagar area of Jammu West constituency in the presence of PDD (Power Development Department) Officials and local BJP leaders.

Sat Sharma, while addressing the party leaders and the local public after inauguration of Receiving Station, said that the priority of BJP led Central Government in the leadership of Narendra Modi as well as alliance partner in Jammu & Kashmir Government is to mitigate the sufferings of common masses at all levels. He said that PM Modi has launched plethora of people welfare schemes to uplift the status of the last man of society who was neglected in the last 70 years of previous Congress led governments. He said that the one point agenda of previous governments was to loot public money by any means. Congress was limited to the welfare of single family through all these years since Independence whereas, BJP under Narendra Modi has set up new excellence standards for the social service by a political outfit, he added.

Sat Sharma said that the coalition government in state is committed to the developmental issues where as the opposition is still busy in gossiping out on day dreams. He further said that as the public representative of Jammu West constituency, he is striving out to plug all the loop holes in the working of public departments and working by best means available to provide 24 hours basic amenities in the area.

Speaking on the present project, Sat Sharma said that this Shakti Nagar Receiving Station is having capacity of 2×10 MVA built with the cost of 3 Crore Rupees under Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP). He said that 6 Number 11 KV Feeder will be taken out from this Receiving Station to feed power to Shakti Nagar, Gurha, Bakshi Nagar, Rajpura, Lower Shakti Nagar and Canal. This process will consume further 2 Crore Rupees taking total cost of the project to 5 Crore Rupees and the work will complete till March, 2018.

Sat Sharma said that this Receiving Station will relieve Bakshi Nagar and Canal Road Feeders thus also benefitting Medical College and Krishna Nagar areas. This whole process will directly benefit about 30 thousand people and indirectly 20 thousands more, thus effectively benefitting about 50 thousand people.
