Sat Sharma starts works for laying new PHE water pipes in Old Rehari and New Rehari

In a major push concerning basic amenities for the residents of Jammu West, State President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) inaugurated the works of laying fresh water pipes at Old Rehari and New Rehari areas of Ward Number 8. Accompanied by a large number of people, Sharma started the works in the presence of PHE officials, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of PHE department at an estimated cost of around Rupees 35 lakhs and a stretch of 2 kilometres will be covered under the same where fresh water pipes will be laid down. The works were started from lane opposite Astha Nursing Home.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was a long pending demand of the residents of the areas which was under process for decades and keeping in view the summer season and shortage of water in these areas, the works had to be taken up in order to provide adequate water supply to the residents.
He also appreciated the efforts of PHE Minister and officials of the concerned department for sanctioning the works and stated that the present government in the State will do anything to provide every basic necessity to each and every resident of the Constituency.
He also stated that areas where problems including shortage of water supply, breakage of pipes and other problems persist will also be dealt on priority so that the problems concerning water supply in Jammu West do not occur in future.
He also briefed about construction of Tube Wells and Over Head Tanks in various areas of Jammu West in order to end the problem of low water supply in summer season.
