Sat Sharma takes serious note on ongoing ERA and JMC works in Jammu West

Taking a serious note on the ongoing developmental works left uncompleted by ERA (Economic Reconstruction Agency) sewerage & pipe works and JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) in various areas of Jammu West, State President BJP and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) took stock of the works and asked the ERA and JMC officials to jot down a proper road map so that works could be completed at the earliest and inconvenience caused to residents of Jammu West in some areas could be avoided. The review meeting was attended by many senior officials of ERA and JMC including local leaders as well.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma asked the ERA officials about the areas covered in which the works of new sewerage system and laying of new water pipes have been done by the concerned department and directed them to take up the works in the remaining areas at the earliest as many lanes and roads are under a very bad condition and needs immediate repairs and renovation.

He said that though the works being performed by ERA in various spheres of Jammu West will benefit people for many decades but at the moment there is also a dire need of providing good infrastructure to masses as well by constructing roads and lanes in those areas where the works have been completed so that basic amenities could be provided to public simultaneously.

He directed them to immediately submit the report of works completed and to be taken up in various areas of Jammu West so that future inconvenience to the masses should be avoided and also directed them to immediately finish the works as it is also seen that the deadline set up by the concerned department to complete these works has crossed the time set for their completion.

Talking to JMC officials, Sharma asked them to maintain a synchronizing standard with ERA as well as it was noted in some areas that after JMC’s completion of works, the works of ERA were taken up there which led to major inconvenience to the masses. Sharma also directed the JMC officials to immediately prepare estimates for those works as well which have been sent by him on priority basis as immediate attention is required in those areas including some areas of Janipur, Shiv Nagar, Subash Nagr, Rehari Colony, Subash Nagar, Paloura, Sarwal, New Plot, Bhagwati Nagar, Dogra Hall, Ambphalla, Karan Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, Gurha, Shakti Nagar, Toph Sherkhania and other areas of the Assembly segment.

He stated that development is the core agenda of BJP and the works being taken up both the department will give Jammu West a new face but the officials must also focus on the quality of works and must show sincerity as well so that each and every resident should be benefitted by the schemes and works of both these departments. He called for immediate expedition of the works within a stipulated period of time so that other works required could be taken up at the earliest.
