BJP State President and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) started works for covering of deep drains (nullah) at Ward no. 16, New Plot, Jammu. The works will be done under the supervision of UEED department at an estimated cost of Rupees 10 Lakhs. Sharma was accompanied by officials of the department, local leaders and the local residents of the area.
Earlier the nullah was open from various sides and it created a foul atmosphere in the surroundings which caused problems for the locals and also caused pollution in the environment and now after the construction of nullah, there will be no problem for locals and a conducive atmosphere will be built around in order to make a clean area and ultimately it will also help in achieving the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi of building a cleaner and greener nation.
Sharma also toured the area along with the officials of JMC and UEED and he also directed the officials as well to take up the remaining works in the area from stage work amount of Rupees 9 Lakhs of corporation under which several lanes will be repaired and constructed.
