Take party programmes at booth level : Khanna

Stressing upon the members of State Working Committee to educate the masses about people friendly and pro-developmental projects and welfare schemes launched by Narendra Modi government, BJP National Vice-President & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna said that every activist of the party need to be involved upto booth level to highlight the achievements of NDA government.

Avinash Rai Khanna said that during the last two years, the approach of the world community towards India has changed. Today India is not seen as a corrupt nation. Narendra Modi has became an international leader, which is matter of pride for every Indian. He said that soon after taking over as PM, Narendra Modi undertook one decision after the other with the sole objective of developing India in real sense and bringing progress and prosperity in the lives of people. He said that insurance schemes for women, poor people and farmers; promoting local cottage and traditional industry; adopting tough stand towards terrorism; launching mega projects for improving infrastructure; road, rail connectivity; better health services; one rank one pension; huge package of rupees 80,000 crores for J&K, including refugees, Kashmiri migrants; no leniency towards anti-national elements etc, all reflect the concern and pledge of Narendra Modi towards all sections and regions.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP while sharing power with PDP in the state had made every effort to fulfill its promise of providing good governance and ending corruption and an era of development had started, which will further get accelerated after the new government is formed.
State President Sat Sharma, while speaking in the meeting, expressed gratitude to the working committee members for attending the meeting and asked the District Presidents in particular to gear up their activities in view of the forthcoming elections of ULBs and Panchayats. He also announced the nomination of BJP leader Murari Lal as State President of OBC Morcha and Rajinder Singh Chib as State President of Kissan Morcha.
Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma spoke on the achievements of Modi government and termed them as revolutionary initiatives aimed at taking India to new heights. He also spoke on various projects sanctioned for Jammu and Kashmir at his instance by different Union Ministries and counted various bridges, roads, rail projects sanctioned for areas in Jammu-Poonch parliamentary constituency.
MLA Bali Bhagat highlighted the achievements of previous PDP-BJP coalition government in the state and the role of BJP in particular in introducing work culture, transparency and weeding out corruption from the administration. He also briefed on retrieving forest land from encroachers and coalition government’s recommendation for filling up of 19000 posts.
Leader of Legislative Party Dr. Nirmal Singh, BJP National Secretary Farooq Khan, Member of Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Dr. Sonam Dawa, also shared with the State President.
BJP State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh presented economic resolution and it was seconded by MLC Ashok Khajuria.
Day long proceedings of the meeting were conducted by State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria.
