The BJP commenced the 125th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib Dr. B. R. Ambedkar

The BJP commenced the 125th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib Dr. B. R. Ambedkar celebration by organizing various functions and programmes spread over next ten days in the entire country. These programmes have been so chosen that various welfare schemes initiated by NDA government and the State coalition government get highlighted and also to create awareness about the all round personality of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma CA initiated the ten day long programme in the state by presiding over the largely attended function named “National Integration Day” and organized by BJP State SC Morcha at Megh Saddar Sabha, Old Rehari, Jammu. While addressing the function, Sat Sharma said that Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was not only author of Indian Constitution and legal luminary but was a great social reformer and towering National leader who contributed immensely to the social awakening and economic emancipation of most suppressed segments of the Indian society. He was not the leader of Dalits only but was a National leader in the truest sense and it was Congress which before and after freedom put obstacles in his playing a larger role on the political firmament of the country. During his last days, he was a disillusioned man on account of treatment meted out to him by Congress party. Sat Sharma also presided inter-alia over another function held in Jammu West where the role and the contribution of Baba Sahib was highlighted.
BJP Member of Parliament & Former State President Jugal Kishore Sharma presided over a hugely attended function organized at Nowshera to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and which was also attended by MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina and MLC Vibodh Gupta. Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, highlighted the various economic schemes launched Narendra Modi led NDA government for the upliftment of rural people including increasing rural budget allocation three and a half times from the previous allocations of UPA government. He said that for the first time opening of a bank account had been simplified so that all the subsidies and benefits under various rural development schemes get transferred directly to the intended beneficiaries in their bank accounts without any middle men. These measures reflect sincere intentions of the Modi government to achieve and fulfill the dream of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar to break the centuries old fetters of downtrodden rural people.
BJP State General Secretary(Org.) Ashok Kaul in his address at various functions held in Samba District stressed the need to imbibe the true spirit and philosophy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar by working for the upliftment of downtrodden Dalits and other disadvantaged segments of the society and at the same time ensure all round balanced and harmonious development of all the people and of all the regions. He said that the ten daylong celebration of the 125th Birth Anniversary of Baba Sahib is intended to awaken and develop the social ethos for progress and prosperity in terms of his ideology. The whole party organization is fully committed to carry this message and all the senior leaders, office bearers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs are participating in these functions. BJP State General Secretaries, Dr. Narinder Singh, Pawan Khajuria and Harinder Gupta attended functions held in Bishnah and R.S. Pura, Udhampur and Rehmbal, and at Babina, Jammu respectively.
